WHO WE ARE

We, the Hermitage Baptist Church, a caring fellowship of God's family, because of our trust in and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, are committed to fulfilling His commission in our community.

OUR VISION

We envision accomplishing His commission by:

Assembling ourselves together in Christ-centered worship, celebrating His presence through a loving fellowship
Sharing the Good News of salvation with non-believers through witnessing and by our daily Christ-like lifestyles
Nurturing and equipping individuals for Christian service through Bible study and discipleship opportunities
Administering lovingly to those in our community and the world who have spiritual, physical, and emotional needs

STATEMENT OF FAITH

The Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the basis for any statement of faith. The church subscribes to the doctrinal of the Baptist Faith and Message as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in 1963. We band ourselves together as a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ personally committed to sharing the Good News of salvation to lost mankind.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God’s revelation of Himself to man. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter. Therefore, all Scripture is totally true and trustworthy. It reveals the principles by which God judges us, and therefore is, and will remain to the end of the world, the true center of Christian union, and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions should be tried. All Scripture is a testimony to Christ, who is Himself the focus of divine revelation.

PASTOR JOE McKNIGHT

Pastor Joe McKnight equips our church to reach Middlesex County and beyond by praying with us and preaching/teaching the Word of God. His partner in ministry and life is his wife, Kelly, and together they have three daughters and three grandsons. Pastor Joe is fulfilled not only by his mission but by spending time with his family, the outdoors, and woodworking. His life verse is Genesis 50:20, and his goal is to remind everyone he meets that they have never been alone or unloved.
